Why You Should Consume Less Content.. Today
ARE YOU A CONTENT GUZZLER?
With so many self-help books, courses, and even podcasts out there, it's hard not to soak up all the content on offer.
It's time to ask yourself if it's really helping you though?
My Guest, Trevor Crump, and I, talk about why he stopped consuming self-help content. Here's a hint:
1. Consumption is a creative suck.
2. Consumption leads to comparison.
By consuming less content you can execute more = networking more.
Consuming less content allows you to learn more on the job from people who are doing it right now without the overwhelming feeling of paralysis of not knowing when or where to start.
We all have great and not-so good characteristics... by watching people around you, you can learn what characteristics you want to embody OR slam in the trash.
LEXI'S NOTES:
I knew I had to have Trevor on the podcast when I asked him what kind of personal development books he read, only to get his response as "I don't read personal development books". I had so many questions. You will get the answer to those questions in this podcast, it was greater than anything I could have imagined. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did recording it!
